New Delhi: 26 January i.e. Republic Day For the first time, a joint tableau of all three parts of the Army will be seen on the grand duty path in the parade. In this, a joint tableau of the three wings of the army, Army, Navy and Air Force is being presented. Its purpose is to reflect the broad sense of togetherness among the armed forces. At the same time, a glimpse of India’s cultural diversity and creativity will be visible in the tableau of the Union Culture Ministry. The highlights of the tableau range from the kinetic Kalpavriksha to the Yadha (Tamil musical instrument) on the potter’s wheel.

Joint tableau of the three armies for the first time

According to the Defense Ministry, indigenous Arjun tanks, Tejas fighter aircraft and advanced light helicopters will be seen in the joint tableau of the three parts of the army. This tableau will depict a battlefield scenario. This joint tableau of the three armies is a symbol of better coordination, jointness and integration of the armed forces in water, land and air. The theme of this tableau will be ‘Strong and Secure India’.

The ministry had declared 2025 as the year of defense reforms. The focus will be on promoting coordination between the three services of the military to strengthen India’s military power. The tableau will showcase the ideological vision for jointness and integration in the armed forces, thereby ensuring national security and operational excellence.

What is special in the tableau of the Ministry of Culture?

According to a statement issued by the Union Culture Ministry, this time the tableau of the ministry is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s basic mantra of ‘Heritage too, development too’. It reflects the country’s rich cultural heritage and immense potential for sustainable development. It said that this tableau underlines the contribution of culture and creativity in the ‘Vision 2047’ of India becoming a developed nation.

According to the statement, on this occasion, Culture Secretary Arunish Chawla said that the tableau of the Culture Ministry is a glimpse of the unique cultural diversity, creativity and sustainable development of our country. The ancient Tamil musical instrument Yadha on the potter’s wheel symbolizes the depth and continuity of our tradition. At the same time, the kinetic Kalpavriksha which transforms into a ‘golden bird’ gives the message of our creativity and economic progress.
