Cold will increase in Delhi now
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Delhi is expected to rise by 1-2 degrees this weekend. But the temperature is expected to drop further due to snowfall in the mountains early next week. IMD has predicted light fog on Saturday and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 26 degrees and 10 degrees. With the trend of warmer months than normal continuing, the month of November this year was the hottest in the last 8 years. According to IMD, the average maximum temperature recorded in November was 29.5 degrees Celsius. This is the highest since 2016.

Cold starts in Mumbai
According to the Meteorological Department, cold has started in many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai. The minimum temperature in Mumbai was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest in November in the last eight years. IMD Mumbai scientist Sushma Nair said that earlier this weather center had recorded the minimum temperature of 16.3 degrees Celsius on November 11, 2016. he/she said that from today till December 3, there is no ‘alert’ regarding cold wave in Maharashtra and the temperature will not increase.

Rain alert in these states
The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal turned into a cyclonic storm on Friday afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, there was heavy rain in Chennai and its surrounding areas on Friday morning and the weather became cold due to the drop in temperature. A day holiday was declared in schools in Chennai and Chengalpet districts on Friday. Apart from this, IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in North and Central Kerala in the coming days and has issued ‘Orange Alert’ for seven districts on December 1. The districts for which ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued on December 1 include Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad.
