Apologise or face no-confidence motion… Who is warning Kapil Sibal?

New Delhi: Former President of Supreme Court Bar Association Adish Agrawal has given a big warning to Kapil Sibal. he/she said that the current President of the Association Kapil Sibal should either withdraw the resolution issued by him/her within 72 hours and apologize or be present for the no-confidence motion. The case is related to the recent rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The incident with the female doctor has not only created a political and social uproar in West Bengal but also big people have clashed with each other on many important forums of the country. The latest case is of the Supreme Court Bar Association.

Understand what is the whole matter

In fact, on 21 August, Kapil Sibal had issued a resolution which was related to the rape and brutal murder of a female doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. Regarding this, his/her predecessor of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the current president of the All India Bar Association, Dr. Adish Agarwal, has expressed strong objection and written a letter to the current president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Kapil Sibal, saying that either he/she should withdraw this resolution and apologize or a no-confidence motion will be presented against him/her by the members.

Aggarwal got angry on Sibal

In an exclusive conversation with NBT, Dr Agarwal said that this is a very serious matter, but the current president Sibal has tried to dilute the matter and the reputation of the Supreme Court Bar Association. he/she said that Sibal has tried to dilute the seriousness of the matter by saying that such incidents happen everywhere. Calling the resolution issued by Sibal illegal, Agarwal said that this resolution has not been approved by the executive of the Supreme Court Bar Association.

‘Kapil Sibal misused his/her position’

he/she expressed displeasure over the fact that Kapil Sibal has tried to destroy the seriousness of the RG Kar Hospital incident by misusing his/her position. he/she says that Sibal is fighting the case as an advocate for the West Bengal government in this case, which clearly shows that this case has become a battle of interests. When asked whether there is an objection to the fact that Sibal is providing his/her services to the West Bengal government as an advocate in this case, Agarwal said, ‘It is his/her personal matter as to whom he/she provides services to and whom he/she does not. We have no objection to this. Our objection is on the misuse of position, making the rape and murder case light and influencing the investigating agencies.’

72 hours ultimatum to Sibal

In his/her letter to Kapil Sibal, Dr. Agrawal has asked him/her to withdraw the resolution within 72 hours and apologize or else a no-confidence motion will be brought against him/her. Dr. Agrawal also expressed anger over the fact that the matter is being investigated by the Supreme Court and the CBI, in such a situation, mentioning the Chief Justice of India in this resolution is an attempt to influence the matter and dilute it. Which should be condemned because it has also damaged the dignity of the post of President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. On the other hand, Kapil Sibal could not be contacted even after repeated attempts to contact him/her.
