Latest News on MBBS, BDS Medical Admission 2024: If you are preparing for medical this year or Well If you have given the exam or are looking for a job in the medical field, then this news is useful for you. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an important notice. This is about the new medical colleges that are going to start in India. That too not one or two, but 113 colleges. That means thousands of MBBS seats. But wait a minute. Because NMC has issued an alert.

What did NMC say on new medical colleges in the country?

Actually, some media reports have claimed that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has approved 113 new medical colleges. The National Medical Commission has clarified that these reports are not completely correct. Because the final decision is yet to be taken. The National Medical Commission has received applications from 113 colleges for permission to operate. But right now the commission is examining these applications.

The Medical Commission has issued a notice on its website www.nmc.org.in, which reads-
‘With reference to the public notice of MARB dated July 6, 2024, it has been observed that certain fake news has been published/circulated in the print/electronic media stating that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) in its final decision has decided on 113 applications for setting up of new medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25.’

‘It is clarified that the NMC in its public notice dated July 6, 2024 has published the list of only those applications on which final decisions have been taken by the MARB. The final decision does not mean approval in respect of all the 113 applications. The decision can be either approval or rejection. The decisions will be uploaded on the NMC website in due course.’

The Medical Commission has said that it believes in transparency and has always been promoting it. Therefore, it keeps issuing ‘public notice’ on its website from time to time. However, the decision of NMC has been sent to the concerned medical colleges.

That means MBBS / BDS seats will decrease

Those who had hoped for an increase in MBBS or BDS seats in India after reading this news may be saddened by this news. Because the number of medical seats in the country will increase only to the extent of the number of colleges that get permission. At the same time, this news is also important for those who are dreaming of getting a job in a medical college hospital.
