Announcement to build 12 industrial cities, from jobs to development… promise made before Modi 3.0, mission has begun

New Delhi: Before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, PM Modi had promised the people of the country that if he/she becomes the Prime Minister of the country for the third time, the pace of development will increase further. BJP had also sought votes from the people on the basis of ‘Modi’s guarantee’. Although BJP got much fewer seats than expected, but BJP was successful in forming the government with the support of NDA constituents. At the same time, PM Modi has started working on development schemes as soon as he/she assumed the post of Prime Minister for the third time. In the same episode, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved 12 new projects under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program (NICDP).

Where will the new industrial cities be built?

According to a government report, these projects with an investment of about Rs 28,602 crore are set to transform India into a global manufacturing hub. These new industrial areas will be strategically located across the country, including Khurpiya in Uttarakhand, Rajpura-Patiala in Punjab, Dighi in Maharashtra, Palakkad in Kerala, Agra and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, Gaya in Bihar, Zaheerabad in Telangana, Orvakal and Kopparthi in Andhra Pradesh, and Jodhpur-Pali in Rajasthan. These projects will make India a strong global manufacturing hub. They will create new employment opportunities in the country and boost the economy. This move will further strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken this decision.

You will get jobs, only jobs

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced the construction of 12 new industrial smart cities. These cities will create lakhs of new employment opportunities. A total of 10 lakh direct jobs and 30 lakh indirect jobs are expected. Vaishnav said that the manufacturing of electronics, mobile and defense products from all over the world is being transferred to India. These new industrial smart cities will further accelerate this change. These cities will serve as regional manufacturing centers and promote industrial development in the country. However, due to the code of conduct, he/she did not disclose the location of the 12th city. But he/she indicated that the city would be in Haryana or Jammu and Kashmir.
