Anand L Rai confirmed ‘Tanu Weds Manu 3’, told why he/she is making the third part even though the story is over

Director Anand L Rai has now announced the third part of R. Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. Anand L Rai made the superhit ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in the year 2011. Anand L Rai told News18 that he/she is planning to take the Tanu Weds Manu franchise forward. he/she said, “Tanu Weds Manu is a franchise that should have a third part. The reason is that those characters are very beautiful and they have been played very beautifully by R Madhavan and Kangana. Those characters have become bigger than the story.”

Anand L Rai further said, “Tanu Weds Manu was completed very well. The story was over, but the characters were eager to come back. That’s why we were able to make another story.”
