Modi wrote on social media platform X, spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about recent developments in West Asia. he/she said that terrorism has no place in our world. It is important to contain regional tensions and ensure the safe release of all hostages. India is committed to supporting efforts for early restoration of peace and stability.

Nasrallah killed in Lebanon attack

Modi spoke to the Israeli PM at a time when dozens of people were killed in Israeli air strikes in Lebanon on Sunday. Israel has carried out several attacks on the command of the extremist group Hezbollah and in one such attack its president Hassan Nasrallah has also been killed. The world considers Nasrallah’s death a major blow to Hezbollah.

The American President had also talked about talks

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden said on Sunday that he/she will talk to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden believes that a full-scale war in West Asia should be avoided. While boarding the Air Force One plane to Washington, Biden said that this must happen. We really have to stop this. At the same time, the US administration has tried to move cautiously as it has tried to prevent Israel’s war with Hamas, which like Hezbollah is backed by Iran, so that it does not escalate into a broader war.
