Ameesha Patel said to Anil Sharma – I will never play a mother-in-law, even if I get Rs 100 crores.

Ameesha Patel made a comeback last year with Anil Sharma’s film ‘Gadar 2’. In this film, she reprized the role of Sakina along with Sunny Deol’s character Tara Singh. In this sequel, his/her on-screen child Utkarsh Sharma grows up and his/her love story is also seen. However, Ameesha was not ready to play the role of a mother-in-law on screen. In a recent conversation, Anil Sharma told how he/she convinced Ameesha for this. Now Ameesha has made it clear by tweeting that she cannot do a mother-in-law role for any film, even if she gets Rs 100 crore for it. Recently, while talking to Siddharth Kannan, Anil said, ‘ he/she did not get the same place in the story of Gadar 2 that he/she got in Gadar 1. She could not understand the age and time, when you are Jeete’s mother then you have to make her daughter-in-law’s mother-in-law too… She had enjoyed the screen time in Gadar 1, so after playing the role of Jeete’s mother, she had to think about her character. Had to struggle to accept the natural progress of life and age.

‘Nargis also became a mother in Mother India.

Anil Sharma gave the example of Nargis Dutt who played the role of a mother in Mother India at a young age. he/she explained, ‘I believe that you are working very hard on yourself but you are an artist, Nargis also became a mother in Mother India… when she was young, she had to become one.’

Ameesha Patel has given the answer

Now Ameesha Patel tweeted disagreeing with his/her views. She wrote that her role has limitations and she will not play a mother-in-law on screen, even if she gets Rs 100 crore for it.

‘I will never play the role of mother-in-law’

Ameesha wrote, “Dear Anilji. This is only a film and not the reality of a family, so on the screen, I have the right to say what I want to do and what not. I respect you a lot, but I am Gadar.” Or I will never play the role of a mother-in-law in any film, even if someone gives me Rs 100 crore for it.
