Emraan Hashmi made his/her acting debut in 2003 with Vikram Bhatt’s film ‘Footpath’. But he/she was not going to debut with this, but with Mahesh Bhatt’s film ‘Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar’. The heroine of the film was Ameesha Patel. But she got Emraan Hashmi removed from the film. This revelation has been made by Emraan Hashmi himself and he/she has also told the reason. Emraan Hashmi is currently in the news for his/her series ‘Showtime’, the second part of the first season of which was recently released on OTT. Emraan told in an interview to ‘The Lallantop’ that his/her first film was going to be ‘Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar’. Earlier Govinda was in the lead role in it, but later he/she was signed. But then Emraan was also removed from this film.

Emraan Hashmi further said, ‘I said I am not ready, and Bhatt sahab said – no, you will never be ready. You have to jump into the deep end, and this is the film in which you have to jump. I was not ready. Ameesha also felt that I was too raw.’

Emraan then spoke about Ameesha Patel and said, ‘Ameesha thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. She had given a hit film (Kaho Naa Pyar Hai) then, so she was worried. She wanted the casting to be right for the hero. She wanted an experienced actor to be cast for the role, not someone who was completely inexperienced, who had only done a one-month acting course. So, she went to Bhatt sahab and said- I don’t think Emraan is the right fit. I got furious. I was very angry at him/her. Now when I look back, I think Ameesha was right.’

Emraan Hashmi told that after being removed from the film, he/she used to go to the set and stare at Ameesha. he/she said, ‘I used to go to the set of the film and watch the shooting. I used to stare at her. I also asked Bhatt sahab to give me a chance. It was not that I really could not act. It was Ameesha who thought that I could not act. I was free at that time, so I used to go to the set of the film because I wanted to be associated with the process of film production. I used to go to the set every day. I was not an assistant in the film, I just used to go to watch. Then I signed my first film ‘Footpath’ with Vishesh Films.’
