Amarnath Yatra 2023: Devotees of Baba Barfani broke last year’s record, 369288 visited the holy cave

The number of devotees broke last year’s record in 2023 as soon as 9150 devotees had darshan of Baba Barfani in the holy cave on Thursday. So far this year, a record 369288 devotees have visited Baba Barfani in 27 days, whereas last year 365721 devotees had visited. This time the Amarnath Yatra will continue till 30 August.

This is expected to create many new records. This year the Amarnath Yatra is known for its seamless arrangements, unwavering service, better management and fostering a sense of harmony among devotees coming from diverse backgrounds. Due to the impeccable arrangements made by the administration, a record number of devotees have had darshan in just 27 days.

Eminent personalities from different fields reached Baba’s door during the Amarnath Yatra. It also includes famous badminton player Saina Nehwal and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan. Amarnath Yatra has seen an increase in the number of foreign pilgrims this time.

In the Amarnath Yatra, arrangements have been made keeping in mind every aspect of the yatra from langar services to health facilities, cleanliness, transport and security measures. Due to the smooth implementation of these arrangements, the inflow of devotees has also increased. To remember the martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas, tributes were paid to the martyrs of Kargil Day at all the Yatra base camps.

24th batch of 3,111 pilgrims leaves for Kashmir

Jammu. The 24th batch of Amarnath Yatris along with 3111 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar, the base camp for the holy cave located in South Kashmir Himalayas, on Thursday. A total of 3,111 pilgrims, including 2,303 men, 750 women, 47 saints and 11 children, left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in a convoy of 124 vehicles on Thursday morning amid security, officials said.

957 pilgrims going for darshan from Baltal route left in 41 vehicles. And 2,154 pilgrims left for Pahalgam in 83 vehicles.
