A user named Sameeksha Avatar uploaded the video on Instagram, which has been viewed more than 17 million times so far. In her Instagram bio, the user wrote, ‘All videos created using AI are made for entertainment purposes only.’ In the video, the deepfake shows Alia Bhatt wearing a black kurta, getting herself ready. Throughout the clip, she is seen applying makeup and posing fiercely in front of the camera. However, after the deepfake clip went viral, Alia Bhatt’s fans have raised their concerns about the use of AI.

A fan said, ‘I thought it was Alia, then I looked carefully, and it is not Alia.’ One wrote, ‘AI is becoming more dangerous day by day.’ A third said, ‘Relax guys, it’s AI.’ One said, ‘Yaar main toh soch Alia Bhatt hi hai.’ A user also said, ‘I hope you will agree to use AI.’ One said- Aise toh jhol hoga.

These stars became victims of deepfake

This is not the first time that a deepfake video of Alia Bhatt has gone viral. In May this year, another video went viral online in which Alia’s face was replaced with the body of actress Vamika Gabbi. Recently, deepfake incidents have affected many stars like Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol, Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan. Last year, Delhi Police arrested four suspects responsible for making a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna viral.
