Akash Deep gave blow after blow to Bangladesh, but captain Shanto took control of the team.


New Delhi. Akash Deep once again proved to be the trump card in India vs Bangladesh second test match. In this match which started late by an hour due to rain, India did not get any wicket for the first 40 minutes. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, after Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj, also handed the ball to Ravichandran Ashwin but the first wicket remained away. After this the ball came into the hands of Akash Deep and he/she gave a wicket to India in his/her very first over.

In the India-Bangladesh Test match being played in Kanpur, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. Rohit said that he/she wants to take advantage of the weather so that the fast bowlers can take advantage of the initial moisture. However, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj, who started the bowling, could not get wickets for India in the first 7 overs. After this, captain Rohit gave the eighth over to off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, but he/she also did not get a wicket.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Akash Deep after Ashwin. As if Akash Deep was waiting for this opportunity. he/she got Zakir Hasan caught at gully by Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very third ball of his/her over. Jaiswal dived to his/her right and caught the ball a few inches above the ground. Opener Zakir Hasan faced 24 balls, but could not even open the account.

Akash Deep also got the second wicket for India. he/she trapped Shadman Islam LBW in his/her third and 13th over of the innings. The LBW appeal against Shadman Islam was rejected by the umpire, but India took DRS. TV replays showed the ball hitting the stumps. After this Shadman Islam was given out. Shadman faced 36 balls and scored 24 runs.

Shanto-Mominul Haq took over the team
Bangladesh was under pressure after losing the second wicket for 29 runs but captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto took control of his/her team. Bangladesh scored 74 runs for 2 wickets till lunch break. Nazmul Hasan Shanto is unbeaten on 28 runs in 48 balls. Mominul Haq is supporting his/her captain by scoring 17 runs in 48 balls. Both of them have made a partnership of 45 runs.
