Lucknow is all set to bring a new change. Indian Railways has unveiled plans to facelift and modernize 10 railway stations in Lucknow. The work of this project will start under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Its focus will be not only on Lucknow but on modernization of railway stations across the country. Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav had recently given an update on this subject in the Lok Sabha. We all know that there are many railway stations in our country which are years old, hence their modernization will greatly benefit the passengers traveling by train.   • Aishbagh Railway Station
  • Badshahnagar Railway Station
  • Daliganj Gomti Nagar Railway Station
  • Lucknow (Charbagh and Junction)
  • Lucknow City Railway Station
  • Malhaur Junction Railway Station
  • Manak Nagar Junction Railway Station
  • Mohanlalganj Railway Station
  • Uttaretiya Junction Railway Station

Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a long term project which plans to transform stations across India in a phased manner. The aim of this scheme is to develop the station so that all passengers traveling by train can get the facilities of better waiting halls, upgraded toilets, lifts and escalators. In addition, passengers will also enjoy advanced services such as free Wi-Fi, kiosks promoting local products under the “One Station One Product” scheme, advanced passenger information, executive lounges and business meeting spaces.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, so far 1,337 stations have been identified, in which re-development work is to be done. Let us tell you, 157 of these are located in Uttar Pradesh.
