The struggle between NLFT and ATTF was going on for 35 years

During this, Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, Home Ministry and other senior officials of Tripura Government were also present. On this occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that NLFT and ATTF have decided to end the struggle going on in Tripura for 35 years. For this, they have expressed their commitment to give up arms and come into the mainstream and develop the entire Tripura.

There was a big gap between North-East and Delhi: Shah

Amit Shah said that there was a huge gap between the people of North-East and Delhi. Prime Minister Modi has not only reduced it through roads, trains and planes, but has also bridged the gap between hearts. Shah said that today’s agreement is the 12th agreement for North-East and the third agreement related to Tripura. Through these agreements, about 10 thousand militants have given up arms and joined the mainstream. Through these agreements, a big initiative has been taken to stop the cause of death of thousands of people from both sides.

What will happen with today’s agreement?

With today’s agreement, more than 328 armed cadres will be able to give up violence and join the mainstream of society and contribute to the development of Tripura. On this occasion, the Government of India also approved a special package of Rs 250 crore for the overall development of the tribal population of Tripura. he/she said that after the Bru-Reang agreement, today thousands of Bru-Reang brothers are living a good life in their homes. They are also getting full benefits of all the welfare schemes of the Government of India. The Modi government had removed AFSPA from Tripura in 2015 itself.
