New Delhi. The Indian team is riding on the chariot of victory under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. After the sharp bowling of the bowlers, on the basis of Abhishek Sharma’s inning of 69 runs, India won the first T20 match played in Kolkata by 7 wickets with 43 balls remaining. After winning the match, Surya praised his/her bowlers and batsmen. he/she said that after winning the toss, India’s energy set the tone in the match. he/she said that we have been given a lot of freedom. We wanted to play a little differently.

After the brilliant bowling of mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty (23/3), a quick half-century by Abhishek Sharma (79 runs), India defeated England by seven wickets in the first match of the five-match T20 series on Wednesday. Thanks to Abhishek’s half-century, India scored 133 runs for three wickets in 12.5 overs and took a 1-0 lead in the series with an easy win. Despite a half-century by captain Jos Buttler (68 runs), the England team could not recover from the initial setbacks and were reduced to 132 runs in 20 overs. For that, apart from Butler, only two other batsmen could reach double digits.

‘We want to play a little different’
Suryakumar Yadav said after the match, ‘We have been given a lot of freedom, we want to play a little differently. The bowlers planned, executed it and the way we batted was the icing on the cake. We did the same in South Africa also. Hardik was responsible for bowling the new ball, so that the extra spinner could get space to play. Varun Chakraborty’s preparation is good and Arshdeep is taking additional responsibility.

On the other hand, after the defeat, England captain Jos Buttler said that his/her team wanted to be ‘aggressive’ under the leadership of new coach Brendon McCullum, who had introduced an ultra-aggressive baseball style of batting in the Test format.
