New Delhi. The Pakistan cricket team has tried to rectify its mistake. After losing the first Test match against Bangladesh by 10 wickets, the Pakistan team led by Shan Masood has included 3 players in the squad before the second Test. Pakistan did not play a single spinner in the first Test match played in Rawalpindi, which created a lot of uproar. Now Pakistan has included leg spinner Abrar Ahmed in the squad before the second Test match. The second and last Test match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi from August 30. The host Pakistan team is now in danger of a clean sweep defeat in the series.
All-rounder Aamir Jamal was dropped by the PCB before the series, but now he/she has been given a place in the Test squad again. However, whether he/she will be able to make a place in the playing eleven or not will depend on his/her fitness. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi had left the team after the first Test match to see his/her son, but he/she has joined the team again, while Kamran Ghulam has been given a place in the team as a top order.
‘We made a mistake in the first test match’
In the first Test match, Pakistan did not play a single specialist spinner in the playing eleven. It had to suffer the consequences of this. On the other hand, Bangladesh spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan Miraz played an important role in giving Bangladesh a memorable victory by taking 7 out of 9 wickets of Pakistan on the last day of the first Test match. PCB President Mohsin Naqvi called this decision ‘possibly a mistake’, but Shan Masood and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood said that this decision was taken after looking at the circumstances.
Pakistan squad for the second Test against Bangladesh: Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel, Aamir Jamal (based on fitness), Abrar Ahmed, Abdullah Shafiq, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper) and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
