New Delhi. After the announcement of the Indian team for the series against Bangladesh, at least 8 players have hit the jackpot. These 8 players have been selected in 3 teams of Duleep Trophy. These players will replace players like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant in the Duleep Trophy, who have been included in Team India. India has to play a Test series against Bangladesh from 19 September. The matches of the second round of Duleep Trophy will start from 12 September.

The first round of the Duleep Trophy was played from September 5. KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, Yash Dayal and Sarfaraz Khan also played in these matches, who have now been selected in Team India. Out of these, 8 players have been asked to join Team India’s camp. Yash Dayal and Sarfaraz Khan have not been removed from the Duleep Trophy. This indicates that both of them will not be part of the playing eleven of the first Test against Bangladesh.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement saying, ‘The selectors have selected Pratham Singh as an alternative to Shubman Gill, Akshay Wadkar as an alternative to KL Rahul and SK Rashid as an alternative to Jurel.’ Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will replace Kuldeep Yadav in the team. Aaqib Khan has been selected in place of Akash Deep. Mayank Agarwal has been made the captain of India ‘A’ team in place of Gill.

The selectors have chosen Suyash Prabhudesai and Rinku Singh as alternatives to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant. Nishant Sandhu has been included in the India ‘D’ team in place of Akshar. Fast bowler Tushar Deshpande has been ruled out of the match due to a minor injury. No changes have been made in the India ‘C’ team led by Rituraj Gaikwad.
