After Sanjay Roy, now his/her close aide is also under the scanner, CBI will conduct a polygraph test, know who is the ‘other’ person

New Delhi: The mystery of the heinous crime of rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College on the night of 8-9 August has not been solved yet. In this case, the CBI has so far conducted polygraph tests of seven people including the main accused Sanjay Roy, who is lodged in Kolkata’s Presidency Jail, and the former principal of the medical college, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. After this, the CBI will now conduct a polygraph test of Kolkata Police’s ASI Anup Dutta. It is expected that this test can be conducted on Wednesday or Thursday.

This is the purpose behind the polygraph test
CBI sources say that the real motive behind conducting a lie detector test on Kolkata Police ASI Anup Dutta is to get information about his/her proximity to the main accused Sanjay Roy and the night of the incident. Sources say that since the main accused civil volunteer Sanjay Roy lived in the same barrack as the ASI, they were friends. It is said that even on the night of the incident, the main accused Sanjay had called ASI Dutta several times. CBI suspects that Anup Dutta has something to do with the incident directly or indirectly, which he/she is hiding. Earlier, CBI had also interrogated the suspected accused ASI. But nothing clear has come out from him/her yet.

In this case, CBI is trying to find out through lie detector test all the accused and suspects who have been questioned till now. Is all this being proved true in the polygraph test or not. If not, then what lies did they tell. Through ASI, CBI is trying to gather solid evidence in the case of main accused Sanjay. Recently in Kolkata, ASI ran away from the questions of the media and went to the CBI office. Now CBI will conduct his/her polygraph test. CBI suspects that ASI is hiding some important information from CBI.

CBI will take advice from expert doctors of AIIMS
On the other hand, CBI did not give any clear answer on Tuesday whether the DNA report has come or not. However, sources say that CBI has received some DNA reports in this case. To make it more concrete, they will show this report to expert doctors of Delhi AIIMS and take advice from them. Sources in the case say that in the investigation done till 15 days after taking over the investigation of this case on 13th August, CBI has found many evidences against the main accused Sanjay Roy. This makes CBI feel that this heinous crime has been committed by accused Sanjay alone, but after claiming to confess his/her crime in front of Kolkata Police, now the accused is not confessing his/her crime. In such a situation, it is becoming a challenge for CBI to collect various types of digital and forensic evidence. Which can be presented in the court and efforts can be made to get maximum punishment against the accused.

But the problem is that the investigation done so far in this case and the reports that are coming out, it seems that more than one accused is suspected to be behind this heinous crime. For this reason, CBI is planning to conduct polygraph test of all those suspects who are connected with this incident in some way or the other.

When will we get answers to these questions?
Solving this heinous murder case is becoming a big challenge for the CBI as well. The question in the case is that if Sanjay Roy, the only accused in the rape-murder mystery, was in jail, then why are other people being subjected to polygraph tests, and if other people are also found to be involved in the crime, then why are more arrests not being made. Is the CBI waiting for some big ‘fish’ in this case? Before laying hands on it, the CBI wants to gather solid evidence. So that when it lays hands on it, it can be proved in the court. Apart from the main accused Sanjay Roy, polygraphs have been conducted on six suspects including the former principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh. If needed, their brain mapping or narco tests can also be conducted. But before this, the CBI is looking for some specific evidence. For which the CBI is trying various ways.
