New Delhi: Amidst the cold wave, rain has increased the cold in the country’s capital Delhi. People are shivering in the severe cold. However, it is a matter of relief that the weather of Delhi-NCR will remain clear on 13 and 14 January. The sun may shine. But there will be moderate fog between January 15 and 17. Apart from Delhi, it rained at many places in Punjab and Haryana on Sunday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, 18.4 mm rainfall was recorded in Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana.

Cold increased after rain in Punjab-Haryana

According to the Meteorological Department, there was rainfall at many places in Punjab including 5 mm in Amritsar, 11 mm in Ludhiana, 6.5 mm in Patiala, 3 mm in Pathankot, 31 mm in Bathinda and 20.6 mm in Faridkot. According to the Meteorological Department, 20.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Ambala, 13 mm in Hisar, 1.6 mm in Karnal, 14 mm in Narnaul, 3 mm in Rohtak, 6 mm in Bhiwani and 3.2 mm in Sirsa. Gurdaspur in Punjab was the coldest place, where the minimum temperature was recorded at five degrees Celsius.

Rain in some parts of Rajasthan

Light to moderate rain occurred in some parts of Rajasthan and hailstorm was recorded at some places. According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, on Sunday morning there was moderate to dense fog at some places and at some places cold day to very cold day was recorded. A spokesperson of the Meteorological Center said that till Sunday morning, maximum rainfall of 24 mm was recorded in Sadulpur in Churu district of the state. Jaisalmer recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius in the state.

People’s condition worsens due to snowfall in Kashmir

Due to cloudy sky overnight in Kashmir, the minimum temperature increased marginally, but it remained below the freezing point. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus three degrees Celsius on Saturday night, whereas it was minus 3.6 degrees Celsius the previous night. Gulmarg, a tourist spot in North Kashmir famous for skiing, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.6 degrees Celsius, which is higher than the previous night’s minus 6.5 degrees Celsius.

Kashmir’s weather will change from January 18

Pahalgam, one of the base camps of the annual Amarnath Yatra in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 6.2 degrees Celsius, compared to minus 7.6 degrees Celsius the previous night. Pahalgam was the coldest place in the valley. The minimum temperature was minus four degrees Celsius in Qazigund, minus 3.6 degrees Celsius in Konnibal in Pampore town, minus four degrees Celsius in Kupwara and minus 3.9 degrees Celsius in Kokernag. Went. The weather department said the valley will remain cloudy till January 18, but the weather will remain dry. There is a possibility of light snowfall at higher altitudes on January 15 and 16.
