New Delhi. Yashasvi Jaiswal created a stir by playing a big inning in the very first Test on his/her first tour to Australia. The young opener has said that he/she wanted to bat without fear in Australia. Jaiswal is very happy with his/her innings. he/she made many records in his/her innings of 161 runs. On the basis of Jaiswal’s brilliant innings, India reached the threshold of victory in the first Test match of the ongoing series at Optus Stadium in Perth. Jaiswal described a fearless mentality and the ability to take bold decisions as important for scoring a century. Jaiswal scored 161 runs in his/her second innings on Australian soil and laid the foundation of giving India a target of 533 runs by adding 201 runs for the first wicket with KL Rahul (77 runs).

Yashasvi Jaiswal said in the press conference after the end of the third day’s play, ‘This was a very special moment for me. I always wanted to tour Australia and do well in it. This innings is very important for me. I always wanted to play with a fearless mentality. I have confidence in myself and take bold decisions. So it was a wonderful experience to play against such great bowlers in Australia. Scoring a century against the best bowlers in the world is very special.

‘The wicket was seaming a little too much in the first innings’
Jaiswal, who was out for zero after playing eight balls in the first innings, said that his/her focus was on standing firm against the spell of the new ball of Australia’s fast bowlers. he/she said, ‘The wicket was seaming a little more in the first innings. In the second innings we were discussing how to play the new ball better, which ball to leave and which to play. Therefore, it was important for the team that I play the new ball better. I never thought that I would be able to score such a big century because my goals were small, I was trying to complete them session after session. Then I made a good partnership with (KL) Rahul bhai. he/she was guiding me during the partnership so it was helpful. Yashasvi has joined Sachin Tendulkar in the list of youngest players to score a century in Australia.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s childhood was spent in difficulties. This young player, who reached Mumbai after leaving Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh, also spent the night in a tent at Azad Maidan. he/she had to spend many nights without eating. Jaiswal is a rising star of India.
