Mukti Dham Mukam Temple is located about 78 km from Bikaner main city. Apart from this, this temple is about 295 km away from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.

The temple is big and very special

​Mukti Dham Muqam Temple is a big and main temple of Bishnoi community. It is said that the people of this society are very fond of animals and the environment. There is also the sacred tomb of Lord Guru Jambeshwar here. It is said about the Muqam temple, Guru Jambeshwar lived here around 1540-1593 AD and during this time he/she established the Bishnoi community. During that time he/she lived on a peak and used to worship there.

It is said that Guru Jambhoji was about to take Samadhi, then he/she pointed towards the Khejri tree and told his/her followers, ‘If you dig 24 cubits near Khejri, Lord Shiva’s trident and Dhuna will be visible, you have to make my Samadhi there. It is said that even today the trident and dhuna are there in this temple.
Today, every day thousands of people of Bishnoi community come here for darshan and worship. A fair is organized here on the day of Phalgun Amavasya and Asoj Amavasya and thousands of people come during that time.
