This is India’s third defeat in T20 against Zimbabwe (IND vs ZIM). After the defeat, Shubman Gill said, ‘We had lost five wickets by the end of the innings. It would have been better if I had stayed at the crease till the end. I am very disappointed with the way I got out and the way the match progressed. There was some hope for us. But if your number 10 batsman is on the field while chasing a target of 115 runs, then you know that something is wrong.’

Indian bowlers led by leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi restricted Zimbabwe to 115 runs for 9 wickets. But the Indian batsmen faced a lot of difficulty on the bouncy pitch and lost four wickets in the powerplay. And the entire team was all out for 102 runs in 19.5 overs.
