After 32 days, Shikhar Dhawan revealed the secret of retirement, told why he/she retired? What did he/she say about Rohit?


New Delhi. Former Team India batsman Shikhar Dhawan recently announced his/her retirement from international cricket. he/she gave this information by posting a video on social media. Shikhar announced his/her retirement on 24 August. Now after about a month (32 days), Shikhar has revealed why he/she announced his/her retirement.

“I thought, ‘Okay, I have played enough games now and I need to give it a break because I was not playing that much cricket and so I had lost the rhythm as well,’” Shikhar Dhawan told PTI. “If I look back two years, in my cricketing career, I was not playing too many international matches and I was just playing in the IPL.”

I was very happy and satisfied with whatever I achieved in my career and was very grateful for everything. Dhawan has played in the 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cups and was also part of India’s title-winning team in the 2013 Champions Trophy. he/she said, “Of course, we would have loved to win the World Cup.”

Talking about Rohit Sharma, Dhawan said, “he/she is a great captain and I am happy that he/she led the team and won the World Cup for our country. We were waiting for that World Cup for a long time. We were also very close to winning the ODI World Cup and now we have done it in T20 International.”
