New Delhi. Young batsman Abhishek Sharma, a disciple of legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, will start his/her international career from Saturday. Abhishek is set to play in the first T20 match against Zimbabwe. Team India captain Shubman Gill confirmed on the eve of the match that Abhishek will open with him/her in the opening match of the 5-match T20 series. Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, is in excellent form these days. he/she played many explosive innings in the last season of IPL.

Shubman Gill, who was made the captain of India’s (IND vs ZIM) T20 team for the Zimbabwe tour, said on Friday, ‘Abhishek Sharma will open the innings with me. And Rituraj Gaikwad will bat at number three.’ Gill led Gujarat Titans in the IPL after Hardik Pandya took over the captaincy of Mumbai Indians.
