AAP accused Pravesh Verma of distributing notes, former BJP MP said – we help everyone

New Delhi: The round of allegations and counter-allegations continues before the assembly elections in Delhi. On Wednesday, a crowd of women was seen at the house of former BJP MP Pravesh Verma. The women claimed that they were distributed Rs 1100 in exchange for their votes. Aam Aadmi Party has attacked BJP regarding this. CM Atishi said that Pravesh Verma is distributing Rs 1100 to women, he/she should be arrested.

CM Atishi’s allegations against BJP

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said, ‘BJP is distributing money to the people by checking voter cards of the people in New Delhi Assembly constituency from where Arvind Kejriwal contests the elections. Today Pravesh Verma was caught distributing money at his/her official residence, which he/she got as an MP. Women from slums in different areas of New Delhi Assembly constituency were called there and given Rs 1100 in an envelope.

Demand to arrest Pravesh Verma

Atishi said, ‘I want to tell ED and CBI that cash worth crores of rupees is still lying at Pravesh Verma’s house, you go now. I want to ask the Election Commission to get ED and Delhi Police to raid the official residence of Pravesh Verma and arrest him/her immediately. BJP is trying to win the lost election. We will make an official complaint about this to the police and the Election Commission. The pamphlet on which the money is being distributed has PM Modi and J.P. There are pictures of Nadda also.

Pravesh Verma gave clarification

BJP leader Pravesh Verma hit back at Atishi’s allegations. he/she said that for the last few days, Aam Aadmi Party leaders have been roaming around my house. I want to tell them that my father Sahis Singh Verma had formed Rashtriya Swabhiman Sanstha 25 years ago. We help the needy.

After the earthquake in Gujarat, our organization built two villages there, after the cyclone in Odisha, four villages were built, it was inaugurated by former President Abdul Kalam. Apart from this, the families of martyrs in Kargil were called to Delhi and an amount of Rs 1 lakh was given. My organization is very old. During Covid, I helped people by investing Rs 5 crore.

Refuting the allegations against him/her, he/she said that the situation in Delhi is beyond my control. Women told that dirty water is coming to their place, bills of thousands of rupees are coming, treatment is not available. After this we decided to provide monthly assistance to these women through our organization. We have helped women by filling their forms. This is not being seen on Kejriwal and Atishi.
