After this film, fans never saw Aamir and Rajinikanth together on screen. But now it seems that the wish of the fans is going to be fulfilled. These two superstars are going to work together in the film ‘Coolie’ and now it is going to create a stir on the screen again. Media reports suggest that Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan are finally working together after 30 years of their last film ‘Aatank Hi Aatank’ in 1995. However, there is no confirmation of this news yet.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film is being made on a big budget and is one of the most awaited Tamil movies. The news of Aamir joining the cast of this film has come as a surprise to his/her fans. A report published in Track Tollywood states that the actor will do a special cameo.

‘Coolie’ was initially supposed to feature Nagarjuna as the villain. However, things didn’t go as planned and the team cast Kannada actor Upendra Rao in the negative role. Amitabh Bachchan, Shruti Haasan and Rana Daggubati will also be seen in the film.

Interestingly, while fans believed that ‘Coolie’ is a part of Lokesh’s cinematic universe, he/she recently revealed that it is a stand-alone film. The director assured that there will be more films in the LCU (Lokesh’s cinematic universe) including ‘Kaithi 2’ and ‘Vikram 2’, but this Rajinikanth starrer is going to be a special film in itself.

The film will be released in the year 2025

The shooting of this film has started in Hyderabad in July. The release date has not been confirmed yet. But it is being said that it can be released in 2025. Aamir and Rajinikanth are also working on other projects. Genelia D’Souza will be seen in Aamir’s ‘Sitare Zameen Par’. This is the Hindi remake of the Spanish movie ‘Champion’. Rajinikanth has Vettaiyan, which will be directed by TJ Gnanavel.
