A girl who failed in 12th board topped NEET! Marksheet came out as soon as the complete NEET result was released

NEET 2024 Latest News: The National Testing Agency uploaded the complete NEET result online on Saturday as per the order of the Supreme Court. In this, the city wise and center wise list was uploaded on neet.nta.nic.in. After that, two mark sheets started going viral on social media. Both are said to be of the same student. One of these mark sheets is of her 12th board exam and the other is of NEET UG exam 2024 result. There is a huge difference between the marks shown in both. On one hand, while this student failed in the 12th Board Exam, she passed the NEET exam held in a few months with top marks.

This student is from Gujarat. She had given the exam from Gujarat Board this year. According to the board marksheet, the student got only 21 marks in Physics, 31 in Chemistry, 39 in Biology and 59 in English. That is, a total of 352 marks out of 700. Whereas in NEET she got 705 marks out of 720.

Top sources in the education sector in Ahmedabad revealed that the girl had registered as a dummy student in a local school linked to a coaching centre in Ahmedabad’s Science City. She had enrolled in the coaching classes for Classes 11 and 12.

School sources confirmed that her doctor parents were called to discuss her poor results. The coaching centre she had enrolled in said that she had dropped out after two months during Class 12. Being a dummy student, the school had limited information about her academic activities. But when the NEET result 2024 came, the school authorities were shocked to know that the girl had scored 705 marks. She has become one of the state toppers of Gujarat.

Her NEET scores were 99.8 percentile in Physics, 99.1 percentile in Chemistry and 99.1 percentile in Biology. Overall, 99.9 percentile. That would easily get her into any good government medical college in the country. However, experts pointed out a major hitch – her failure to clear the exam means she will not meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a medical college, which is 50%.

The student’s NEET and GSEB HSC Science results can be seen on some social media accounts with the same name, surname and last name. Sources have confirmed both these results as authentic. However, TOI has not yet been able to independently confirm that the mark sheets belong to the same person.

At the same time, this matter raises questions about the education system and entrance exams like NEET. Do such exams really assess a student’s ability and understanding correctly?
