A 24-year-old man was going to Canada disguised as a 67-year-old man, this is how CISF exposed him/her at Delhi airport

Naveen Nischal, New Delhi: On the basis of profiling and behaviour detection, CISF personnel deployed at Delhi’s IGI airport stopped a passenger in the check-in area of ​​Terminal-3 for questioning. On questioning, he/she identified himself as Rashwinder Singh Sahota. his/her age turned out to be around 67 years. he/she was going from Delhi to Canada by Air Canada flight at 10:50 pm.

Hair and beard were dyed white to look old
On checking his/her passport, it was found that his/her age seemed much younger than the age mentioned in the passport. his/her voice and skin were also like that of a young person and his/her age did not match the details given in the passport. On closer inspection, it was found that the passenger had dyed his/her hair and beard white and was also wearing glasses to look old.

Age stated as 67 years but turned out to be 24
Based on these suspicions, he/she was taken to the departure area for a thorough search. During the search of his/her mobile, a soft copy of another passport was found. According to which the name on the passport was Guru Sewak Singh, age 24 years. On further interrogation, the passenger admitted that his/her real name is Guru Sewak Singh and he/she is 24 years old. he/she is travelling on a passport issued in the name of 67-year-old Rashwinder Singh Sahota.

The accused was arrested
CISF Assistant Inspector General and Public Relations Officer Apurva Pandey said that since the case turned out to be a fake passport, the passenger was detained along with his/her luggage and handed over to the IGI Airport Police for legal action. Due to the alertness and presence of mind of CISF personnel, the passenger could be caught and possible misuse of the document could be prevented.
