Srikanth made his/her debut at the age of 21 in November 1981 against England in Ahmedabad. Played his/her first ODI match for the Indian team. he/she faced 10 balls in that match. But he/she was out on 0 only. Two days later, he/she played his/her first Test in Bombay. There he/she scored 0 runs in the first innings and 13 runs in the second innings. he/she scored two centuries in Tests and four centuries in ODIs in his/her career.

Srikanth’s career

Krishnamachari Srikkanth was also a part of Team India during the 1983 World Cup. Kris Srikkanth was the leading run-scorer in the 1983 World Cup final against West Indies at Lord’s. Starting the innings, he/she scored 38 runs in 57 balls with the help of 7 fours and one six. Which later proved important for Team India. Kant played a total of 43 Tests and 146 ODI matches for India in his/her career, during which he/she scored 2062 and 4092 runs respectively with his/her bat.

On 27 September 2008, he/she was made the Chief Selector of the Indian cricket team and he/she worked on this post till 2011. Then on 20 December 2012, Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise made him/her its brand ambassador in IPL. In the year 2008, he/she was made the brand ambassador of Chennai Super Kings franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
