There will be no ‘fraud’ in the name of job abroad, government has taken a big step to save Indians from fraudsters.

Jobs abroad: Every year lakhs of people from India go abroad for jobs. Most of these people get jobs in good companies, but there are some people who become victims of fraud in the name of jobs abroad. In recent years, cases of cheating thousands of people in the name of getting jobs abroad have come to light. In some cases, people have been taken to other countries and trapped. Instead of getting the work that was promised done, something else is being done.
Fraud in the name of jobs is trapping many Indians. By luring people with good jobs, they are made to do illegal work in foreign countries and they are exploited. However, the Indian government has worked to curb the ongoing fraud in the name of jobs abroad. The government has taken action to shut down all those websites which were cheating people in the name of providing jobs abroad. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given this information in the Lok Sabha.

Government is shutting down fake job websites

S Jaishankar said that the Ministry of External Affairs has requested to block websites promoting fraud in the name of jobs. Legal action has also been recommended against those involved in this fraud. During Question Hour, Jaishankar said, “We have requested to block such sites which promote such jobs. We have recommended prosecution against those involved in this fraud.” The domains of most of these websites are located abroad, which makes tracking difficult.

Indians rescued abroad

Not only this, but the government has also saved the people who were victims of fraud abroad. The government has rescued 1,167 Indians from Cambodia and 497 Indians from Myanmar. These people were taken to these countries on the pretext of jobs. Many of these victims were forced to perform illegal work under poor conditions. The Foreign Minister said that the fraud is being perpetrated through online platforms and networks targeting vulnerable people. The government is working closely with agencies to break these networks and prevent further exploitation.
