Patna. The new construction work of Moinul Haq Stadium located in the capital Patna is likely to start after Kharmas. BCA is busy making all preparations regarding this. On the other hand, the Bihar government also registered to hand over Moinul Haq Stadium to Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) on a long-term lease of 30 years. Now this stadium will be under BCA or rather BCCI. Under the supervision of BCA, BCCI will make this stadium of international standards in which IPL, international matches and domestic matches will be held.

Land registration done
The Bihar government gave Moinul Haq Stadium to Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) on a long-term lease of 30 years. The government registered the stadium land in the name of BCA. Besides, the land registry fee of about Rs 37 crore was also waived off. The land registry papers were signed by Sports Department Director Mahendra Kumar on behalf of Bihar Government and Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari on behalf of Bihar Cricket Association. On this occasion, Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari said that after Kharmas in the new year, the construction work will be started as soon as possible by announcing the date of laying the foundation stone for the reconstruction of this stadium. Bihar Cricket Association will build a world class stadium for the people of Bihar in the next three years.

These will be the facilities
In the next three years, Moinul Haq Stadium of Patna will emerge as a world class stadium and sports complex. All the facilities here will be of international standards. In this stadium, 40,000 spectators can sit together and enjoy the match. There will also be seating arrangements for 76 corporate boxes and 250 VIP people. Apart from cricket, many facilities including hockey, football, lawn tennis, athletics, several swimming pools, five star hotel, world class gym, world class physio centre, spa, hostel equipped with all facilities for players, restaurant, club house will be available. . About Rs 400 crore to Rs 450 crore will be spent for this.

International matches will be held till 2028
The foundation stone for the reconstruction of the stadium will be laid after Kharmas i.e. after 14th January. The target has been set to build this stadium by the end of 2027. It is expected that international cricket matches will be held here from 2028.

How much was the deal for?
Bihar Government has given this stadium on long term lease to BCA for 30 years. In the first seven years, BCA will have to pay one rupee per year. After this, after deducting expenses and taxes, 50% of the profit will have to be given to Bihar government. Apart from this, about Rs 37 crore has also been waived off as registration fee to BCA.
