Fact Check: Old video of demolition of Hindu temple in Pakistan passed off as from Bangladesh, viral claim turns out to be false

New Delhi: There has been a significant increase in the cases of atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. There the Hindu temple is being set on fire. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media. In which it was told that Hindu Gods and Goddesses were vandalized by some people of Muslim community in Bangladesh. However, when Sajjag’s team investigated this video, the claim being made regarding this video turned out to be false.

What did the users claim?

A user named @Sudanshutrivedi on X posted a video claiming that the plight of Hindu temples in Bangladesh. Where are international human rights and the Indian government? All Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators should be thrown out of India and all trade and cricket matches should be stopped.

Another user @rajesh_mauryaup also posted this video and claimed that seeing the plight of Hindu temples in Bangladesh brings blood to the eyes. Hindus who have not seen Aurangzeb and Babar period should watch this video.

What was found in the investigation?

When the alert team investigated the viral video on social media, it turned out to be old. First of all, Sajjag’s team reverse image checked the video with the help of Reveye tool and found many videos and reports in the search.

Along with this, a report from TOI on Google Report Also found. Which was written on 3 August 2021. According to which a Hindu temple was demolished in Pakistan.

When Sajag’s team proceeded with its investigation, Pakistani news channel DAWN’s three-year-old Report Found. In which it was told that after a nine-year-old Hindu boy was granted bail for allegedly urinating in a local madrassa, the mob went on a rampage, vandalized a Hindu temple in Bhonga town and blocked the Sukkur-Multan Motorway. The incident occurred about 60 kilometers away from the city.
