Opinion: India is falling apart due to which party’s fault? Tu-Tu Main-Main started regarding leadership

Author:Raj Kumar Singh
The opposition is sending the message through its conduct that it does not need opponents, it can commit suicide itself. Every party contests elections to win, but victory and defeat are two sides of the same coin. It is also important to learn a lesson from every defeat for betterment. But the public ‘Tu-Tu, Main-Main’ on reasons is certainly not an example of mature politics. The opposition alliance, which is excited by single-handedly depriving the BJP of majority in the Lok Sabha elections, is going to put a question mark on its credibility.Mamta expressed her desire
After her MP Kalyan Banerjee, now Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee herself has publicly expressed her desire to lead the opposition alliance INDIA while remaining the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Maratha veteran Sharad Pawar did not waste any time in giving the certificate of leadership ability to Mamata. Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav may not have said anything themselves, but the way SP and AAP spokespersons have started advocating for their respective leaders for the leadership of India is not without reason.

Objection to Shiv Sena’s stance
In Maharashtra, SP leader Abu Azmi has also announced his/her decision to separate from INDIA’s local edition Mahayuti on the grounds that Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena gave an advertisement expressing happiness on the anniversary of Babri demolition and a Legislative Councilor did so on social media. Just posted. Shiv Sena’s stand on Hindutva and Ayodhya issue has been well known. Then why suddenly SP woke up now? Even when Uddhav was the Chief Minister of the Mahayuti government for more than two years, there was no sign of any change in his/her stand. By the way, even if Mahayuti government was formed after the elections, would Abu Azmi have decided to walk out of it?

Minimum Common Program missing

The reasons for the possible disintegration of the opposition, which was forced to unite due to the growing power of Narendra Modi’s government and BJP, also lie within itself. Technically, it is true that on July 17-18 last year, INDIA, a coalition of two dozen opposition parties, came into existence, but was it ever visible on the ground? In the same meeting in which this ambitious naming was done, there was also talk of deciding the coordinator, steering committee and common minimum program, but not much could be done in sixteen months.

no seats for associates

A tall building of trust cannot be built on the foundation of distrust. The first indication of this was found in the Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly elections last year, when the Congress, which was overconfident of victory, did not consider it appropriate to give some seats to other constituent parties of India even symbolically. In such a situation, unlike mass election campaign, constituents like SP and AAP also fielded their candidates in large numbers. There might have been many reasons, but the result was the defeat of Congress in all three states. The second big signal came earlier this year, when Nitish Kumar, who was seen as the architect of opposition unity, and Jayant Chaudhary, grandson of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, switched sides to the BJP-led NDA.

morale collapsing due to defeat
Congress, recovering from the shock of defeat in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, divided seats with allies and smaller parties in many states in the Lok Sabha elections. The way BJP stuck to 240 seats amidst slogans of crossing 370 or 400, it can also be considered as India’s success. Its effect was also visible in the first session of Parliament, but due to the defeat in Haryana assembly elections in October and Maharashtra assembly elections in November, that morale seems to be collapsing.

weak link of opposition unity

Of course, the defeat of two very important states is a big shock, but the way Congress seems to be the target of its own allies also has its own story. In fact, election after election, the belief is getting strengthened that Congress takes other parties along with it out of compulsion and not willingly. Also, Congress is the weakest link of opposition unity, which even in its historic defeat period, wants to contest as many seats as possible which it had won in the golden past. However, its record of winning in a direct contest with BJP is the worst.

mutual distrust
Of course, Congress has the largest number of governments in three states – Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana – among the opposition parties, but the election results of the remaining states show that instead of Congress, other smaller and regional parties are giving a tougher competition to BJP. . Most of these parties have become stronger due to the defeat of Congress. Therefore, excessive strengthening of Congress does not seem auspicious for their future, whereas Congress is trying to regain its lost ground. This mutual distrust and check-mate is the biggest irony of the opposition alliance INDIA, from which there is no sign of recovery.
