The Soren government had promised to increase it to Rs 2500.

In this assembly elections in Maharashtra, Maha Vikas Aghadi looked completely weak at the level of narrative. She basically focused herself on the politics of capitalizing on the anti-incumbency wave of the Shinde government and the effect of this was that she could not generate the same urge among the voters to vote for her, as happened during the general elections. While in Maharashtra, OBC and Dalit voters came together and succeeded in weakening all other issues within the Hindutva agenda, BJP was not successful in doing so in Jharkhand.
