Who is that bowler who returned to India from Australia without playing a match?


New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Khalil Ahmed has been ruled out of Australia tour due to injury. Khalil was added to Team India as a reserve fast bowler. In his/her place, left arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has been included with Team India in Australia. Khalil has returned home. Dayal, who was included in the Test team during the Bangladesh series, was in the T20 team in South Africa but did not play a single match. he/she has reached Perth directly from Johannesburg.

Left arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was injured and was not able to bowl in the nets. The medical team advised him/her rest after which he/she was sent back to India. A BCCI source said, ‘This is like an option because the Indian team needs a bowler like Mitchell Starc for practice. Yash Dayal was to play the A Test but he/she was sent to South Africa. If Khalil could not bowl then there was no use of his/her staying here.

Khalil Ahmed has been released by IPL franchise Delhi Capitals.
It is not yet decided whether Khalil will play the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament before the IPL auction or not. Delhi Capitals has released him/her. Whereas Dayal has been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yashasvi Jaiswal also had shoulder problem while batting on Tuesday but he/she returned to the nets on Wednesday.

Bumrah will captain in Perth Test
The first Test match of the 5-match series between India and Australia will be played in Perth from November 22. Rohit Sharma will not play in this test match while Shubman Gill is also likely to not play. Gill has a thumb injury and may remain out of the Perth Test. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will captain in the first test. Bumrah has previously captained a Test where India lost against England by 7 wickets.
