UGC NET 2024: UGC NET registration starts for December, heavy fees will be charged, see notification

UGC NET Application Form 2024 December: The application process for National Eligibility Test December 2024 cycle has started. National Testing Agency has released the online form along with the NET exam notification. The registration process for National Eligibility Test has started on UGC NET website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. UGC NET Exam Date 2024: When will the NET exam be held?

According to the schedule released by NTA, UGC NET exam for December 2024 will start from January 01, 2025. It will be operated on different dates and shifts till January 19, 2025. The complete schedule is as follows-

The fees for NET exam form is different for different categories of candidates-

• For General/Unreserved Category – Rs 1150
• For General EWS/ OBC NCL – Rs 600
• For SC, ST, Divyang, Third Gender – Rs 325

NET exam will be held for 85 subjects

This time some new subjects have been added to the NET exam subject list. With this the total number of subjects for which NET exam is being conducted has increased to 85. You can proceed for PhD, Assistant Professor job or other research work in the subject in which you clear NET. The qualification for NET exam should be Master Degree (Post Graduation).

Keep in mind – NET form will be filled online only. A candidate should fill only one form. If there is any mistake, you will get a chance to correct it. But filling the second form will not accept the application. If there is any problem, you can contact NTA by calling 011-40759000 or 011-69227700.
