‘We will remove the artificial barrier of 50 per cent on reservation’, why Congress sees future in caste census!

New Delhi: congress leader Rahul Gandhi Has once again advocated caste based census. he/she said on Wednesday that this exercise will be conducted in the country and through this process the injustice being done to Dalits, other backward classes and tribals will come to light. The real meaning of caste based census is justice and his/her party will also break the wall of 50 per cent reservation limit. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said these things at the Constitution Honor Conference in Nagpur before the assembly elections to be held on November 20 in Maharashtra. The way Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi raised this issue is very important. Earlier, he/she also raised his/her voice on caste census in Telangana.

Committed to cast census in Telangana- Rahul

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said a day ago that he/she is fully committed to conducting caste census in Telangana. he/she also said that he/she will make Telangana a model for caste census across the country. The former Congress president described caste discrimination in India as unique and one of the worst in the world. he/she will destroy the artificial barrier of 50 percent reservation in the country. Caste census should first be conducted to assess the extent and nature of discrimination. Therefore, I am fully committed to not only ensuring caste census in Telangana, but also to ensure that Telangana becomes a model for caste census in the country.

Defense of the Constitution, criticism of Manusmriti… In which direction is Rahul Gandhi moving for caste census, assembly elections?

What is Congress’s strategy after the defeat in Haryana?

Questions are being raised whether the Congress leadership sees any future in the caste census? Seeing the way the party got defeated in Haryana elections, Congress does not want to make any mistake now. This is because assembly elections are round the corner in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The party hopes that the issue of reservation and caste census can benefit the party. This is the reason why Rahul Gandhi mentioned the Constitution, reservation and caste census during his/her address in Nagpur. he/she said that the Constitution prepared by Babasaheb Ambedkar is not just a book but a way of life. Similarly, caste census is a model of development. This will bring clarity and create a new paradigm.

Why is Congress advocating for caste census?

Rahul Gandhi is not advocating caste census just like that. he/she wants to directly target RSS and BJP on this issue. This is the reason why during the Constitution Honor Conference in Nagpur, he/she said that BJP and RSS are currently discussing what stand they should take regarding the caste census. What should they say on caste census? The Congress leader further said that I want to tell you that no matter what RSS-BJP do, caste census will be conducted. Whatever discussion you want to do on this, do it. The people of India have decided that caste census will take place and the 50 per cent barrier will be broken. This sound is gradually increasing. Our job is to make people understand that the Constitution will be protected only through caste census.

PM Modi on the target of Rahul Gandhi

Taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Rae Bareli MP said that whenever I talk about caste census, PM Modi says that Rahul Gandhi is trying to divide the country. We have to tell the country that we are fighting to provide justice to more than 90 percent of the marginalized people of the country. The former Congress president said that the Constitution talks about equality, one person-one vote, respect for all and every religion, caste, state and language. Many institutions like the Election Commission in the country are a gift of the Constitution. There was no Election Commission during the time of kings and princes.

How much benefit in Maharashtra-Jharkhand elections?

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is talking about protecting the Constitution and caste census in Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. The special thing is that this time Rahul is also criticizing Manusmriti. Keeping in mind the shock caused by the resentment of Dalit voters in Haryana, perhaps Congress has made a new strategy. This time the party does not want to lose the votes of Dalits, backward classes and tribals at any cost. This is the reason why the party is organizing ‘Samvidhan Samman Sammelan’ in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. During the same conference held in Jharkhand, Rahul Gandhi had described Manusmriti as an anti-constitutional book. he/she said that the fight between the Constitution and Manusmriti has been going on for years.

Elections will change due to Constitution, reservation, caste census!

Rahul Gandhi, while criticizing Manusmriti in Jharkhand, focused on the votes of Dalits, backward classes and tribals. he/she also talked about giving place to tribals in the curriculum and removing the limit of 50 percent reservation. During this he/she also raised the issue of OBC officers. Now the Congress leader said in Maharashtra that words like respect are being used a lot, but if a person is dying of hunger then what is the meaning of respect.

Rahul Gandhi said that it is better to make that person empowered and capable by using money and power, after that he/she will not need your respect. Overall, the party feels that the strategy that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership are pursuing in the Maharashtra-Jharkhand elections will increase public support for them. However, how successful his/her strategy will be will be clear from the election results of both the states.
