What is Vajra Prahar: What is Vajra Prahar exercise? In which India and America’s army will take part, know how long this exercise will last.

New Delhi: Special forces of India and America will jointly conduct ‘Vajra Prahar’ exercise from today. This exercise will take place in Idaho, USA from November 02 to November 22. Special forces personnel of both the countries will participate in this. Para-SF from India and Green Berets from America will participate in this exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to create better coordination and mutual understanding between the two countries.

Special training will be given to soldiers

This is the 15th edition of ‘Vajra Prahar’. This time in the exercise, emphasis will be laid on conducting joint operations in desert and hilly areas. The soldiers will be given training in physical efficiency, planning and new combat skills. The exercise will include a variety of activities such as joint mission planning, reconnaissance, use of drones and psychological warfare.

Last time Vajra Prahar exercise was held in Meghalaya

The last time the ‘Vajra Prahar’ exercise was held in Umroi, Meghalaya in December 2023. India and America have conducted military exercises together many times before. Exercises like ‘Vajra Prahar’ and ‘Yudh Abhyas’ further strengthen the defense ties between India and America.

When was the Vajra Prahar exercise done for the first time?

In December last year, India and America took part in a joint military exercise named ‘Vajra Prahar’ in Meghalaya. This exercise takes place every year since 2010 and last time its 14th edition took place. The purpose of the ‘Vajra Prahar’ exercise is to give the armies of both the countries an opportunity to work together. Last year, in this exercise, emphasis was laid on how to deal with terrorism and how to carry out air strikes. For this, an environment like hilly areas was created. Exercise ‘Vajra Prahar’ brings together elite military contingents of India and America.
