South Africa beats Bangladesh, heads towards WTC final, what India and Australia feared happened

WTC Final Scenario: South Africa did what India and Australia feared. The South African team has defeated Bangladesh very easily in the second test. It defeated host Bangladesh by an innings and 273 runs. With this, he/she has made a big leap in the points table of the World Test Championship (WTC). South Africa had also defeated Bangladesh in the first test. In this way he/she won the 2 match series 2-0.

The second test match of the 2-match series between South Africa and Bangladesh was played in Chittagong. The African team won the toss and batted first and declared the innings after scoring 576 runs for 6 wickets. Opener Tony De Georgi played an inning of 177 runs. Tristan Stubbs scored 106 and Vian Mulder scored 105 runs.

After making a huge score, South Africa bowled out Bangladesh for 159 runs in the first innings. After this, the African team called for Bangladesh’s follow-on and reduced them to 143 runs in the second innings also.

South Africa got 12 points by winning the second test. With this his/her WTC points table has increased to 54.17 points (winning percentage). Now there is a difference of almost one point between it and third-ranked Sri Lanka (55.56). India is at first position in the table with 62.82 points. Australia (62.50) is at second place.

A 5-match series is to be played between India and Australia from 22nd November. Points of the losing team will be reduced. Sri Lanka and South Africa will directly benefit from this. South Africa now has to play two home Test series, in which it has more chances of winning. If it wins the home series then it can go beyond 63.00 points.
