The Army Chief said that this process will happen in phases. The objective of each step will be to reduce stress. he/she said that this general management of LAC will not stop here. The announcement was made ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kazan, Russia for the 16th BRICS summit scheduled from October 22 to October 24. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had said the agreement was the result of extensive discussions with Chinese negotiators at both the diplomatic and military levels over the past several weeks.
