Mohammed Shami answered whether he/she will go on Australia tour or not

Gurugram. The Indian team is to go on a tour of Australia next month. There is a lot of speculation regarding the fitness of India’s experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami. he/she said on Monday that he/she is not feeling any pain now. he/she is still not out of the running for the tour of Australia starting next month.

he/she bowled in the nets after India’s opening Test against New Zealand concluded in Bengaluru. However, a few days ago, captain Rohit Sharma had revealed that there is swelling in his/her knee, which has affected his/her ongoing ‘rehabilitation’ to recover from the ankle injury suffered last year. During the program organized by ‘Eugenics Hair Sciences’, the 34-year-old bowler said, “I am happy with the way I bowled yesterday. I was bowling with half ‘run-up’ earlier because I didn’t want to take too much pressure. But yesterday I bowled with full run-up.

Referring to the five-match Test series against Australia starting from November 22 in Perth, Shami said, “I have no pain now.” Everyone has been wondering for a long time whether I will be able to go for the Australia series or not but there is still some time left for it.

Rohit had said that he/she is not in favor of taking Shami for important series due to fitness. Shami also said that he/she would like to play some matches for his/her state team Bengal in the current Ranji Trophy. he/she said, “The only thing in my mind is to make sure that I stay fit and how strong I can be for the Australia series. I know what kind of attack is needed in Australia. I will have to spend more time on the field. I want to play some Ranji matches before this.

Due to this injury, he/she has not played for India since the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia on 19 November.
