Talking about the government’s efforts, German Labor Minister Hubertus Heil said, “Germany needs greater economic dynamism and for this skilled labor is essential. The situation is completely opposite in India. Every month there are 10 lakh people in the labor market. “People are getting involved.” “The influx of skilled Indian workers has already proven to be a success story for our country,” he/she said. he/she believes that Germany’s economy will improve even more with Indian workers.

How many Indians are living in Germany?

According to data from the country’s Labor Ministry, about 1,37,000 Indians were working in skilled worker positions in February 2024, which is about 23,000 more than the previous year. In 2015, the number of Indians working as skilled workers was 23,000. Current figures show that the unemployment rate among Indians in Germany is only 3.7 percent, while it is 7.1 percent in the entire country. The number of people going from India to Germany has also increased in the last few years.

In which sectors does Germany want Indians?

Traditionally, people leaving India for jobs have been working in the IT and finance sectors. Something similar happens in Germany also.
