There was a crowd in Kashmir thirsty for Rishi Kapoor’s blood, he/she had to hide under the bed, the army helped him/her.

When the shooting of love scenes in Hindi cinema did not start in Switzerland, Kashmir was considered the best location for it. Many Hindi Bollywood films have been shot amidst the beautiful sheets of snow in Kashmir. However, Rishi Kapoor has such scary memories of that place which we probably see in films or web series. The beautiful atmosphere regarding shooting in Kashmir suddenly changed in the 1980s, when the political situation there suddenly changed and the film units It became no longer dangerous for people to spend time there. Then Rishi Kapoor was in a hotel there with the team of Yash Chopra’s film ‘Kabhi-Kabhi’ and the situation became so bad and terrible that they had to take the help of the military to get them out safely.

When Rishi Kapoor was shooting in Pahalgam

The actor has mentioned this incident in his/her book ‘Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored’. Rishi wrote in this book that when he/she was shooting in Pahalgam, Yash Chopra had organized a party for him/her on his/her birthday. he/she recalled and told that his/her wife Neetu and his/her co-actor Naseem were also present here. Because on this day he/she had completed the shooting of a song.
The atmosphere was happy everywhere and the party guests were having fun inside the hotel. he/she was not even aware of what was happening outside. he/she was completely unaware of the situation outside. Rishi has told that the argument between the horse owners and the taxi drivers there took a worse turn when one of the drivers started fighting after drinking alcohol.

Rishi said, the mob was demanding the blood of Deepak Sarin and me too.

Deepak Sarin, one of Yash Chopra’s staff, went outside to check on the situation but everything quickly escalated to such an extent that the situation went out of control. There was chaos with a crowd of thousands throwing stones and fireballs at the hotel. Rishi has written in the book that the mob was demanding the blood of Deepak Sarin and mine also.

They were told to hide under their beds

Writing in more detail about this incident, the actor had said that the environment there gradually started getting worse. So Rishi Kapoor and the rest of the guests present there were sent to their rooms and asked to hide under their beds. Because, no one knew what was going to happen next. Their rooms were locked from inside, but the glass of their windows were broken due to stones being thrown at the hotel and Rishi described it as the scariest moment of his/her life.

Windows were broken and the hotel burned to the ground

Recalling the incident, he/she had said, ‘We were all taken to our rooms for security and asked to lie down under our beds. Our rooms were locked from outside and the curtains were drawn. But soon the windows were broken and the hotel burnt down.’ The actor had written that the then Chief Minister Sheikh Abdullah had to intervene in this matter and took the help of the army to evacuate him/her safely from there. However, the actor also said that apart from this incident, he/she has many wonderful and good memories of the shooting in Kashmir.
