New Delhi. Chicago CC team, captained by Robin Uthappa, won the title of American tournament National Cricket League by defeating Atlanta Kings in the final. This cricketer, who converted to religion at the age of 25, led the team for the first time in this 10 over format tournament and became the champion. Lord of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar handed over the title trophy to Uthappa’s champion team. Uthappa played an important role in Chicago’s victory, who performed brilliantly in batting along with captaincy. Uthappa has been a member of the T20 world winning team. he/she played an important role in India winning the 2007 T20 World Cup trophy.

In the final of the American cricket tournament National Cricket League, Chicago CC, batting first, scored 160 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs. Captain and opener Robin Uthappa played a brilliant inning of 35 runs in 15 balls which included three fours and three sixes. Leonardo Julian played a explosive inning of 61 runs in 22 balls with the help of six sixes and five fours. Michael Lewis scored 43 runs on 17 balls. Chasing the target of 162 runs, the Atlanta Kings team could score only 117 runs. And lost the match by 43 runs. From his/her side, Tom Bruce played the highest innings of 61 unbeaten runs on 21 balls.

Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had also reached America to enjoy the final. After the match was over, he/she handed the shining trophy to Uthappa.

Robin Uthappa played 46 ODI and 13 T20 International matches for Team India. he/she scored 934 runs in ODIs, which included 6 half-centuries, while he/she scored 249 runs in 13 T20 International matches. Uthappa has scored a half-century in T20. his/her best score in ODI was 86 runs while his/her best score in T20 was 50 runs. Uthappa changed his/her religion in September 2022. he/she was initially a Hindu but later he/she converted to Christianity. Uthappa has played for Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL.
