Another Air India flight received bomb threat, the plane going from Delhi to Chicago was landed in Canada.

New Delhi: After rumors of a bomb on an Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago, it was landed at Iqaluit Airport in Canada. This incident happened on Tuesday, however after investigation it turned out to be a rumour. Earlier, another Air India flight going from Jaipur to Bengaluru via Ayodhya had also received a rumor of a bomb.

There was a bomb threat in the flight yesterday also

Ayodhya Airport Director Vinod Kumar said, ‘The passengers have been taken out of the plane safely. The bomb disposal squad along with its train detection dogs is checking the aircraft and passengers’ luggage. he/she further said, ‘The ground staff of the airline had received a bomb threat call at around 1.30 pm. Subsequently, following the standard procedure, we immediately alerted all concerned authorities.

The incident is part of a series of fake bomb threats that disrupted three international flights on Monday. About 600 passengers were affected by these threats.

The flight was diverted to Delhi

Air India flight AI 119 from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Delhi for complete investigation. Two IndiGo flights, Mumbai-Muscat flight 6E1275 and Mumbai-Jeddah flight 6E56, also faced delays. Safety teams conducted thorough inspections before allowing the flight to take off. However, later all these threats were found to be fake. But these incidents highlight the challenges that exist for flight schedules and passenger safety.
