Same condition of ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Video’ on the first day, earnings will increase after Ravana Dahan.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ and Rajkummar Rao-Trupti Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, both the films have lived up to the expectations on the opening day. Both the films have been released on Friday, October 11, on the occasion of Dussehra. Friday was definitely a partial festival holiday, but at the same time people are also busy during Navratri. Its effect has been seen on the empty chairs in theatres. However, still both the films have earned better than average. ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is definitely ahead in the race of earnings at the box office, but its difference from ‘Jigra’ is not much. The expectation was that both the films together would do a business of around Rs 10 crore at the domestic box office on Friday. According to the report of sacnilk, the total earning of both of them on the first day was Rs 9.25 crore.

Box Office Prediction: ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ have similar opening, know how much they will earn

‘Jigra’ box office collection day 1

Alia Bhatt is in an action avatar in ‘Jigra’ directed by Vasan Bala. Vedang Raina is with her in the film. This is the story of the emotional relationship between brother and sister. On the opening day, ‘Jigra’ has made a net collection of Rs 4.25 crore in the country. Whereas on an average 20.13% seats were seen in theaters on the first day.

‘Vicky Vidya’s That Video’ Box Office Collection Day 1

On the other hand, the comedy film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, directed by Raj Shandilya, has collected a net collection of Rs 5.00 crore on the first day. In the shows of this film, the audience was seen in 17.18% seats in theaters on Friday.

‘Jigra’ in multiple screens, ‘Vicky Vidya ka woh video’ in single screen

While ‘Jigra’ has received a good response from the multiplex audiences of Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and metro cities, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has seen more emphasis on cities like Jaipur, Bhopal, Lucknow and single screen theatres. There may not be much difference in the earnings of both on the first day, but there is every possibility of a jump in the earnings in the weekend, especially after the conclusion of the festival with Ravana Dahan on Saturday.

Earnings will increase during weekends after Dussehra

The entire responsibility of ‘Jigra’ is on Alia Bhatt and this film will run only on the basis of word of mouth. Whereas ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, being a comedy film, can attract the audience more. However, both the films have received mixed reactions from critics and audiences who have watched the film. But the truth is also that both the films have suffered a slight setback in the evening and night shows due to it being the last day of Navratri.

‘Jigra’ has a bigger budget, will have to work harder

The budget of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is said to be Rs 30 crore. It has done better collections everywhere except metro cities and South India. Whereas now this film should get the benefit of festive atmosphere in Hindi belt. On the other hand, if ‘Jigra’, made with a budget of Rs 80 crore, gets the benefit of word of mouth, then it is stronger in the multiplexes of big cities. In such a situation, there is every possibility of its earnings also increasing.
