Rajinikanth’s film crosses Rs 100 crore at the box office in two days, ‘Devra’s earnings fall on 15th day

Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Vettaiyan’ had a strong start on the opening day. Now in two days this film has joined the worldwide Rs 100 crore club. Although the film is not doing bumper business at the Indian box office, it is still in a very strong position. Especially keeping in mind the busyness of the audience during Navratri, where both the new Bollywood releases ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ together touched the figure of 10 crores on Friday, ‘Vettaiyan’ alone crossed this mark by 2.5 crores. Earned twice as much. ‘Vettaiyan’, made under the direction of ‘Jai Bheem’ fame TJ Gyanvel, is an action drama film. Not only does it have Rajinikanth’s swag, the film also attacks encounter killings and the education system of the country. ‘Vettaiyan’ also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati. The budget is Rs 300 crore and it has made a net collection of Rs 55.70 crore in two days in the country.

‘Vettaiyan’ box office collection day 2

According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Vettaiyan’ has done a business of Rs 24.00 crore in the country on the second day on Friday. It had earned Rs 31.70 crore on the opening day a day earlier. Keeping in mind the busyness of people during the festival, this decline in earnings cannot be considered too much. Especially when the lack of audience in the evening and night shows on Friday was already known. The highest earning of Rs 21.45 crore on Friday was from the Tamil version. Whereas in Hindi the film has earned Rs 2.10 crore.

‘Vettaiyan’ Worldwide Collection Day 2

A big concern of ‘Vettaiyan’ is that it is very weak in the Hindi version, because if the film has to be a superhit and a bumper hit, then the earnings in Hindi will have to increase. But the good thing is that it has a strong hold on the global box office. In two days, ‘Vettaiyan’ has made a gross collection of Rs 36 crore in foreign countries. Whereas its total worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 100.80 crore in two days.

‘Vettaiyan’ will earn Rs 110-120 crore in the first weekend

At the rate at which Rajinikanth’s film is earning, it is seen doing a business of Rs 110-120 crore in the country in the first weekend of four days. There is every possibility of a jump in earnings especially on Sunday. The film has received mixed responses from critics and audiences. But ultimately the fan following of superstar Rajinikanth can definitely make it the second biggest film of 2024 after GOAT.
