IDP IELTS Scholarship: Just as in India, all the courses in higher education are taught in English, the same happens in the rest of the world as well. Be it any country in Europe or countries with English mother tongue like America, Britain, Canada. At all these places, education is conducted in English only. Students from all over the world come here to study. However, they have to take a test to prove their proficiency in the English language before admission.
This test for English language is called IELTS i.e. ‘International English Language Testing System’. IELTS exam is conducted by IDP Education. It has scores from 1 to 9. During the test, the student’s ability to write, speak, read and listen is tested. Actually, the fee for IELTS exam is Rs 17,000. But you can give it only for Rs 7 thousand. IDP Education launches scholarship

Actually, IDP Education, the organization that conducts IELTS exam in India, has announced IELTS Celebrating Success Award, under which 300 students will be given a scholarship of Rs 10,000. This scholarship will be for those who have an overall score of 6 or more in the IELTS exam. Under this initiative, 100 students across India will get this scholarship every month. In this way, even if you register for the exam by paying a fee of Rs 17 thousand, but after getting the scholarship, you will spend only Rs 7 thousand.

What is the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible for IDP Education Scholarship, candidates must be 18 years of age or older. Candidates need to book an IELTS test, be it Academic or General Training. Test booking must be made between October 1 and December 31. The names of those selected for scholarship will be announced on the 15th of every month. A selection panel is going to select the candidates on the basis of correct answers to the questions.

Additionally, to increase diversity and gender inclusion in global education, IDP IELTS India has also reserved 33% of scholarships for female candidates. Piyush Kumar, Regional Director, IDP Education, said, “The scholarship of Rs 30 lakh shows our commitment to help students study abroad.”
