New Delhi. Joe Root, who is in great form, has scored a double century against Pakistan. This is the sixth double century of England’s number-1 batsman Joe Root. With this, he/she has equaled Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in terms of most double centuries. However, an Indian is still ahead of Root.

The first test match of the 3-match series is being played between England and Pakistan in Multan. Batting first in this match, Pakistan scored 556 runs. England gave a befitting reply to Pakistan and scored runs quickly and took the lead in the first innings. Joe Root scored a double century for England. Root completed his/her double century in 305 balls, which included 14 fours.

This is the sixth double century of Joe Root’s Test career. With this, he/she has equaled the record of scoring six double centuries of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.
