Haryana Election Result: How did BJP win in Haryana? Understand the whole story of victory through these 4 reasons

New Delhi: The results of Haryana Assembly elections once again proved that BJP is not called an election winning machine for nothing. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP won five seats in Haryana, whereas in 2019, BJP won all 10 seats. After which an atmosphere started to develop that the atmosphere is in favor of Congress in the Haryana Assembly elections. But BJP turned the whole game upside down. Not only registered victory but also achieved a bigger victory than the 2014 and 2019 assembly elections. How did BJP change the situation?

1. Acknowledged the shortcomings and rectified them

BJP admitted that many mistakes were made during the Lok Sabha elections and also corrected them. In many interviews, BJP leaders openly said that some mistakes were made at the organizational level during the Lok Sabha elections, which are now being rectified. BJP also admitted that there was disappointment among the workers after the results of the Lok Sabha elections. BJP addressed it on war footing. Senior BJP leaders met workers in different groups and removed their disappointment and assured them that the party can win this election.

2. Countered the issue of Congress

Haryana is a state from where a large number of youth join the army. Agniveer was an issue here. Congress also raised this issue continuously. BJP understood the seriousness of this issue and promised in its manifesto that every Agniveer will be given a government job. Senior BJP leaders reiterated in every rally that every Agniveer will be given a job with pension. BJP was successful in countering the atmosphere being created against BJP regarding Agniveer.

3. Attention to the equation from caste to community

In Haryana, 36 communities are considered the most important factors. While Congress remained tight-lipped over whether it would be a Jat versus non-Jat issue, BJP fitted its equations according to the community. BJP won in Jatland also, whereas throughout the elections it was said that Jats were very angry with BJP. BJP held many mohalla meetings to woo OBCs in its favor. OBCs are 35 percent in Haryana. BJP worked on many strategies to bring together Dalit votes. Just before the elections, Ram Rahim came out of jail on parole and appealed to vote for BJP. he/she has a large number of followers in Haryana who mostly come from Dalit community.

4. The expenditure slip worked and Congress’s own fight

BJP kept saying that in the last 10 years, BJP has abolished the expenditure slip system. That means people have been given government jobs without recommendation and without bribe. This was also a topic of discussion in the state. There are more than 94 lakh voters in the age group of 18 to 39 years in the state and its effect was visible. To deal with anti-incumbency, BJP changed the CM before the Lok Sabha elections and then also made a strategy to divide the votes going against it. This time maximum number of independent candidates were in the fray. More candidates divided anti-BJP votes and contributed to BJP’s victory. Besides, the infighting among Congress leaders also opened the way for BJP’s victory.
